“Roberta Vaudo & The Blue Whistles” è un progetto che ha saputo conquistare col proprio sound la scena musicale capitolina. L’obiettivo della band è quello di reinterpretare le grandi voci del Rhythm & Blues anni ’50, tra cui le celebri Ruth Brown, LaVern Baker, Varetta Dillard ed Etta James. Il repertorio prevede anche incursioni in generi musicali dello stesso periodo, spaziando dal boogie woogie al rock and roll. Inoltre sono presenti anche brani originali in pieno stile 50’s rhythm & blues.
In versione “Big Band” si sono distinti anche nell’interpretare brani classici della “Swing Era” come le composizioni di Benny Goodman e Glenn Miller.

La band nasce nel 2014 da un’idea di Roberta Vaudo, cantante poliedrica che accoglie nella sua carriera musicale un vasto repertorio che passa dallo Swing al Blues nelle sue espressioni più diverse.

Affiancata in questo percorso ci sono alcuni degli artisti più interessanti del panorama musicale romano: i “Blue Whistles”, che singolarmente vantano collaborazioni nazionali e internazionali. La band ha avuto modo di esibirsi in diversi contesti come festival, tour all’estero, partecipazioni in programmi televisivi, eventi privati, hotel di lusso, eventi aziendali, ecc.

“Roberta Vaudo & The Blue Whistles” is a project that has successfully conquered the Roman music scene with its unique sound. The band’s mission is to reinterpret the great Rhythm & Blues voices of the 1950s, including legends such as Ruth Brown, LaVern Baker, Varetta Dillard, and Etta James. Their repertoire also features incursions into other musical genres of the era, ranging from boogie-woogie to rock and roll, as well as original tracks written in authentic 50s Rhythm & Blues style.

In their “Big Band” version, they also excel in performing classic compositions from the “Swing Era,” such as those by Benny Goodman and Glenn Miller.

Supporting her on this journey are the “Blue Whistles,” some of the most compelling artists on the Roman music scene, who boast prestigious national and international collaborations.
